UBMv Virtual Appliance

Xrio's well established Unified Bandwidth Management range has been extended with a range of Virtual Appliances that offer all the features and benefits of our Hardware Appliances with the ability to install on your existing Virtualised platform.

Overview

Xrio’s new UBMv (Unified Bandwidth Management) ranges of Virtual Appliance’s have been designed to complement the already successful and widely deployed UBM classic, UBMi and V-Bond products.
The Xrio software platform is designed to cater for all business needs from Branch Office to Data Centre and all budgets from SOHO to Enterprise whilst delivering high end Unified Bandwidth Management features including IP link bonding, load balancing, policy routing, wan failover, traffic shaping and more.
The UBMv range is compatible with most common virtualisation platforms through the use of Open Virtual Format (OVF) including VMWare ESX/ESXi, VMware Server, Citrix Xen server and Microsoft Hyper-V giving flexibility to how customers wish to deploy, along with the associated cost savings of a scalable, flexible software platform. All the UBMv products are downloadable via Xrio’s Website so customers can be up and running within minutes and begin to take advantage of the Xrio UBM platform immediately.

Hardware optimisation - With UBMv there is no requirement to purchase or store UBM hardware appliances in the customer premise or Data Centre. UBMv is simply downloadable using Xrio’s Online Customer Portal and installed easily onto customers existing virtualised platform, which may already be performing many other tasks.

Quicker and easier upgrade path – UBMv is fully scalable, if customers need more capacity they can simply upgrade their license to enable more connectivity options.

High Availability – Virtualisation enables the ability to build platforms with the highest levels of uptime guarantees, through the use of multiple servers and shared storage to protect against server failure and even Data Centre failure.

Subscription Model – Capital purchase is not required, the UBMv is provided on an annual subscription based model.

Support – UBMv has support options to ensure customers receive a high level of support as and when they need it. Support options also cover firmware and feature updates!

Products in UBMv range:
UBMv200, software supports 2 circuits and 2 inter-site tunnels for bonding.
UBMv400, software supports 4 circuits and 10 inter-site tunnels for bonding.
UBMv1000, software supports 8 circuits and 25 inter-site tunnels for bonding and can be used in a central environment as a small hub for an IPVPN or the central infrastructure for IP bonding.
UBMv1500, software supports 8 circuits and 50 inter-site tunnels for bonding and can be used in a central environment as the hub for an IPVPN or the central infrastructure for IP bonding.
