User access permissions can be added at any of these levels, for example a root user can access all partners, but a company user can only access the sites below it.
Central Configuration
UBM appliances can be configured from a central viewpoint negating the need to connect to each appliance individually. Configurations are stored in a central database and pushed to the remote appliance, this has several benefits such as backup configurations, version control and standardisation.
Automated Provisioning
Central and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) can be quickly provisioned and either pushed to each device or exported to a file ready to be uploaded to an appliance and deployed. This dramatically speeds up the deployment process.
Moreover, multiple devices can be attached onto a ‘provisioning LAN’ and are detected by Xrio Enterprise allowing the provisioning of many devices in one hit.
Integrate with Existing Infrastructure
Customers with existing deployments have the ability to import these configurations into Xrio Enterprise automatically. This is done by connecting to a central appliance and seeking the devices that are attached. Once these appliances are imported, all functionality is available through Xrio Enterprise.
Customer API
An Application Programming Interface (API) is provided to enable customers and service providers to build and provision configurations directly from their own systems. Access is provided using SOAP XML that enables interoperability from virtually any platform.
Monitoring and Alerts
Each element of the topology is monitored including routers, firewalls, LAN networks and the UBM appliance itself. Status of each is clearly shown and customers are alerted if and when the status changes.
